Jianjun, that’s absolutely true!

And the investment you’ve made to start with, to learn at least one foreign language and study it to professional grade, that’s a minimum of 3 years, not including at least one year in a foreign country… And the cost of keeping up to date, documentation, etc. This is so often discounted, whereas it’s one of the bases of a practicing linguist.
