Hi Volkan,

I am not sure if it's a Google bug or the result of a recent Google dance. But a duplicate content penalty is unlikely in this case (<a href="http://www.yeasir.com/blog/2008/05/06/google-seo-duplicate-content/">http://www.yeasir.com/blog/2008/05/06/google-seo-duplicate-content/</a>).

Maybe you could wait for a couple of weeks to see how things are going. Have you tried a permanent redirection from site A to site B, then request deletion from Google index the old results?

I use both G.Analytics and WebMaster Tools. I had a web site www.A.com (I don't want to give whole long names). I moved the whole site content to www.B.com, and stopped A.com.

Content of A.com was very well indexed by google, and search results were fair to me.

Then I requested content removal for A.com because there was no A.com anymore. I waited for google to index B.com. (I also manage B.com in Webmaster Tools). B.com was also indexed in a couple of days. Everything looked fine.

Almost one week later, B.com no longer appeared among search results. There must be something wrong. A.com still appeared in search results :)

I don't know the exact reason for this. Does google find duplicate content to punish my B.com? Or, does google have a bug while removing the content of A.com upon my request? I applied to google for reconsideration of B.com, still waiting for it to be indexed.
